Female with straight dirty blonde hair looking at camera with blue eyes. She's holding her chin with her right hand and smiling slightly.    Hello, I’m Leslie Jackson.

I’m a mom, wife, daughter, sister—and like so many women, I live in the middle of a lot of roles at once. These days, I find myself in what I call the sandwich season of life: caring for my family–which means showing up for my adult child and supporting my parents, among other things. Some days feel full in the best way… and other days just feel full.

Through it all, my most important identity is still this: I am a Christian, learning daily how to hold onto faith in real, everyday life—not the picture-perfect version.

I’m an educator by training, with degrees in Deaf Education (interpreting), English education, and Creative Writing. Teaching has always shaped how I see the world—I don’t just want to share ideas, I want to make them practical, accessible, and life-giving.

That’s exactly what Heartwork by Leslie is becoming.

This space is for the woman who is doing her best to keep everything moving—family, responsibilities, emotions, faith—and sometimes feels stretched in every direction. Here, we talk about real life. The overwhelming days, the quiet victories, the laughter in the middle of chaos, and the grace that shows up when we need it most.

You’ll find encouragement, honest reflections, simple faith practices, and resources I truly use and trust. Some posts will feel like a deep breath. Others might feel like a conversation you didn’t know you needed. And yes—sometimes we’ll laugh too, because life in the middle can be beautifully unexpected.

My hope in all of this is that you leave here feeling seen, understood, and a little less alone in your season.

So welcome to Heartwork by Leslie—where life may be full, but grace is always more than enough.

Grab your hot chocolate or lemonade, and let’s walk this life together.
